Melisa Majnarich, LICSW

Ms. Majnarich is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) specializing in child and family care. Ms. Majnarich has a Masters of Social Work from Eastern Washington University and is adjunct faculty at EWU for the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Ms. Majnarich has been working with families for twenty years, providing individualized care plans to influence positive outcomes and reduce harmful and self-destructive behaviors. Ms. Majnarich has an understanding of various behavioral and neurological aspects that impact growth, development and daily living skills. Melisa Majnarich uses a strength based approach affirming the skills already developed and refining these skills with evidence based practice.

For younger children, Melisa is a Circle of Security registered parent educator to help parents with bonding and attachment, security and exploration. Melisa helps to navigate the adjustment issues for children with neurological, emotional, and/or behavioral issues.

For adolescents and families Melisa has taught parenting classes, anger management skills, stress reduction and assertiveness training. Melisa has worked with children of trauma and neglect. Melisa establishes goals, tasks and objectives with the client so that they can monitor their own success.

For adults and caregivers Melisa uses narrative and solution focused techniques of building and restoring strong family supports for the care of loved ones. Melisa is a strong advocate of finding your own pathway through new territory, and creating your own outcomes.
