Liz McAndrews, LICSW

Liz McAndrews, LICSWLiz McAndrews, M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W. is a licensed independent clinical social worker who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She provides counseling services to children and adults to help them enhance function and improve their quality of life. She has specialized in helping families with children with developmental delays. She works with new parents and those experiencing post partum depression or adjustment issues.  Ms. McAndrews follows a strengths-based approach to help each individual identify and increase their own strengths and coping skills. She also practices a relationship-based method which encourages parents to partner with professionals in planning for their children. Liz McAndrews has advanced study in Attachment Theory/Circle of Security.  Liz received her Masters in Social Work degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and began her social work career in child welfare/family preservation in New York City. She also worked in a public school setting in New Jersey with pre-schoolers and adolescents with special needs. While in private practice in New Jersey she provided individual, marital, and family therapy. Liz moved to Spokane 20 years ago and continued her commitment to working with children and families. She has provided counseling and care coordination services to the developmentally delayed birth-to-three population and their families. She has also counseled adolescents and their families in crisis through Family Preservation Services.
