Christine R. Guzzardo, Ph.D.

Dr. Guzzardo is a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist with specialized training in the evaluation of pre-school (beginning at age 2) and school-aged children, adolescents, and adults through the lifespan. Currently, she has a full-time practice evaluating  only children (ages 2-18) and young adults.  She provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for children with learning, cognitive processing, behavioral, and/or emotional difficulties. She encourages a team approach to treatment by consulting with schools and other professionals, and provides specific and realistic recommendations based on test results, developmental history, and current problems.

Areas of evaluation include Autism spectrum disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), traumatic brain injury, developmental disorders, learning disabilities, neurological disorders, birth trauma, seizure disorders, memory problems, neurotoxin exposure, brain tumors, stroke, language and speech disorders, Tourette’s and other tic disorders, genetic diseases, HIV, emotional and behavioral problems, and other neuropsychiatric and medical disorders.

Dr. Guzzardo received her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the APA accredited University of Southern California. Her graduate coursework included specialized training in pediatric and adult neuropsychology and she completed a clinical internship at the APA accredited Veterans Affairs Los Angeles Healthcare System, specializing in Adult and Geriatric Neuropsychology, Health Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, Memory Disorders, Seizure Disorders, Infectious Diseases, and outpatient psychotherapy services. Dr. Guzzardo completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology, specializing in Pediatric Neuropsychology, at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine’s Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital.

Dr. Guzzardo is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, the Pacific Northwest Neuropsychological Society, and the American Psychological Association; she has made presentations at regional and national conferences.

Dr. Guzzardo sits on the Washington State Examining Board of Psychology.
